how do you like the leather back, i seen my friends bold and it looked pretty trashed from long term use

I've had a black Bold for almost a year and a half ... the leather back on it after 1.5 years looked as if it was just taken off a brand new device. I absolutely love the leather back, and hope it comes back again with a newer device (Dakota, perhaps ?).

How can you trash the leather back ? It really doesn't rip that easy ... my phone's gone through hell and back, and it still looked new. Hm !

Ive been checking XDA Devs, but have had no luck. Ysee, I recently found my old one and want to see what I can do with it. I assume Androids not happening, but Im sure there are some tricks out there.
