Well for the past 4 years i have been a blackberry addict and following all kinds of rumors about new devices and i seems like we either know a few month before it comes out or a year not much middle ground. I have even began to wonder if i even want to know. It is kinda killer having to wait so long to get my hands on these devices plus losing so many contest to win one. Well i am rambling cuz its late and i am tired. This is what i planned on writing: well maybe this phone will be out come the time i can get a new every two. Which is July of 2011 wow i sure would like a new every on. Ya i am with sprint and they really havent had a trademark berry like everyone else. Verizon=storm, tmo=8900, att=bold, sprint=?tour? please no!. So may be this is going to be it the Mr T sounds good to me
Plus seems like sprint likes the sliders. Well there you have it random explosions from RamboBerry's Brain. Sorry won't let it happen again. GOOOD NITEEE

Quick question; do you know if this will be a CDMA only device or like the current Storm/Storm2/Tour a "hybrid" with GSM functionality too?

I hope the new Mr.T gets an update to the software interface as well as the touchscreen technology. If it does, I would pick this bad boy up in a heart beat.
I have played with the Storm2 and it stills feels like touch control was an afterthought. Typing input is actually pretty good but interaction and selecting menu items blows. I have been a BlackBerry nut for years but I am getting jealous of the other devices out there and how they are blowing away RIMM devices. I would love to see a Storm3 with a redesigned UI like the HTC HD2. It seems each device release is just an incremental HW upgrade from the previous and the SW stays almost the same. I have a jailbroken iPhone on WiFi and when I am at the house, it is the device of choice. I hate to say it but the interface is smart and simple. My Bold rocks for pounding out the emails but who just uses their device for that? Another thing I would like to see from RIMM: device consolidation! Give us a Bold, a Storm, and a Pearl and end it there. All 3G with WiFi. It would ease selection and increase RIMM profitability. If I do not see something new and creative software wise from RIMM in the next 3-6 months, I think I am going to jump ship. Sorry for the rant. |

The UI is just so "efficient" and sometimes it just falls into "boring" and have almost nothing to play with. If RIM gets the Talladega a new UI, a great slide-out keyboard they will be sitting in gold. |

It may be cheesy, or could be just me, but isn't there just something unspeakably awesome about having a phone code named "Mr. T"?
That being said, as a longtime VZW customer currently enjoying everything about the Tour except for the trackball and no wifi, (I wish holding out for an essex was an option, but not my luck this time around) it does seem like this device could be what many of us are hoping for. I'll be keeping a close watch on this one for sure. My biggest concern for slider from RIM is size and hardware integrity, and will we finally have a device that does truly meld consumer and corporate usage? As a gadget obsessed corporate style user of BBs, I sure do hope so. Sorry for the train of conscious here, but had to get it out. |
