Another great video by our good friend “Terrible Bean” with an awful voice over work by yours truly. Terrible Bean is showing us the new layout of the new OS for Blackberry, OS v6.0.0.100. He does a really good walkthrough for all of us, and now we can finally see that OS 6 actually does look like the OS they were advertising in those RIM commercials. Catch the video after the jump.

Hey guys, I know everyone looking forward to seeing some more action of the new Webkit browser and my buddy is working on it, so stay tuned! But I do have a little bit of new information, not long ago RIM filed a new patent application, which you can find here. Now I don’t understand all of this so I had a buddy help break it down for me and this is how he explained it. When browsing a website with javascript or css (style sheets) it wont be displayed until these are loaded completely. RIM’s patent basically looks to make those files load earlier so the site can be displayed quicker.

Here’s a quote from their patent application:

“Therefore, there is a need for a method and system whereby a first device (e.g. a wireless handheld device or mobile station) may send a request to a second device (e.g. a wireless gateway server or other server) for response data having a higher priority than response data for an earlier request which is still transferring to the first device from the second device.”

Now heres some website logs I was sent, my friend removed a couple things as to not give anything away.

206.xx.xxx.xxx – - “GET / HTTP/1.0″ 200 8944 “-” “Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry; U; BlackBerry 9800; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.1+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.0.91 Mobile Safari/534.1+”
68.xx.xxx.xxx – - “GET /xxx.css HTTP/1.0″ 200 6851 “http://www.xxx.com/” “Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry; U; BlackBerry 9800; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.1+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.0.91 Mobile Safari/534.1+”
68.xx.xxx.xxx – - “GET /xxx.css HTTP/1.0″ 200 2643 “http://www.xxx.com/” “Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry; U; BlackBerry 9800; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.1+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.0.91 Mobile Safari/534.1+”
68.xx.xxx.xxx – - “GET /xxx.js HTTP/1.0″ 200 10721 “http://www.xxx.com/” “Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry; U; BlackBerry 9800; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.1+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.0.91 Mobile Safari/534.1+”
206.xx.xxx.xxx – - “GET /xxx.jpg HTTP/1.0″ 200 2059 “http://www.xxx.com/” “Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry; U; BlackBerry 9800; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.1+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.0.91 Mobile Safari/534.1+”
206.xx.xxx.xxx – - “GET /xxx.jpg HTTP/1.0″ 200 678 “http://www.xxx.com/” “Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry; U; BlackBerry 9800; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.1+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/6.0.0.91 Mobile Safari/534.1+”

So we see a couple interesting things here, first the browser identifies itself as “AppleWebKit”, I’m sure RIM will change that, and we also see that javascript and CSS files are being loaded from a different server. Both IP addresses are blackberry.net. Remember that “second device” RIM says in their patent application, well it looks like its already been implemented in their new browser. So what does all this mean to us? Well, from what I’m told more complex websites will load faster than the competition.

So that’s what I have for you for now, but we also have some very cool stuff coming up that will make Android and iPhone users jealous about our new/upcoming Blackberry Browser! Stay tuned for that one too. Before I go I want to thank my friend who sent me this and my 9800 source, “Terrible Bean”, for all the cool info he’s been sending over our way!

Please do me a huge favor and stay cool for me

As I promised you guys today we are gonna have 3 phone leaks, and I have to start by numbers (from lower to higher), which means the first one to appear today on the website is the newly redesigned Blackberry 9300 also known as Blackberry Curve.

I’m not going to sugarcoat it for you guys, I also picked the 9300 to be the first leak of the day simply because its the “least” interesting one for all of you, even though I must admit that I do really appreciate the simplicity and how easy it is to use a Curve as your every day phone. From the pictures below the first thing you’ll notice is the new “metallic purple” color around the phone, which is very vibrant, and also that its already T-Mobile branded. The newly redesigned Blackberry 9300 isn’t running on OS v6.0, but it does have a 6.0 platform. Along with the new design we were not given more flash memory on this badboy, which is still at 256MB here for your OS and apps and you can also ad an SD card for all of your music, photo, and video needs. The phone has also been spotted in many different colors/flavors for those who are all business on the front and party on the back.

The person who was nice enough to send me these pictures will also have a nice video done for all of you guys (salomondrin quality), but I will post that tomorrow. I’m gonna leave you with 4 pics of the new Blackberry Curve with the promise of its video tomorrow, and knowing that today we will have 2 other videos coming up on the site of 2 other devices, so stay tuned and sexy for me, ok?
